ABSTRACT Fabrication of monolayer assemblies in which a photoredox pair is elaborately arranged on a conductive surface has been promising to achieve highly-efficient photoelectric conversion. Modification of conductive surfaces with organosulfur compounds (so-called self-assembly) has become one of fascinating methods for fabricating photoconductive monolayers. In this article, we will summarize recent progress in photoconductive self-assembled monolayers (SAMs).
