Fluid inclusions in hydrothermal minerals from different Italian and Japanese geothermal fields have been used to ascertain whether the physico-chemical characteristics of the fluid trapped within the minerals from the geothermal boreholes are comparable with those presently observed in the reservoirs and to obtain Information on the origin and evolution of the geothermal fluid.
