Artificial Neural Network (ANN) has been widely used for prediction, modeling and classification. This paper provides an extensive review of the various applications of neural networks for chemical engineering purposes. The applications in these areas are divided into various major disciplines. Comparisons to existing conventional methods are also shown.  It has been shown that ANN has been used to solve almost all types of applications in this field.
