This review article explores the comorbidity of dementia with breast cancer. We focus on the shared biochemical pathway of steroid hormone signaling. Here we suggest a steroid hormone transcriptional coactivator, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, E6-associated protein, as a potential link between these diagnoses and its mechanism via transcriptional regulation of amyloidogenesis.
