ABSTRACT

The paper presents a numerical solution of the differential potential – shift balance, and an approximate algebraic solution via the collocation method in the theory of weighted residuals, for porous electrodes amenable to a one-dimensional plug-flow model. Current and concentration profiles are also computed for an experimental ferro-ferricyanide reaction described in a previous study of porous electrode cells.
