ABSTRACT Poly(ethylene-bridged diphenylamine)s (PAzeps) were synthesized, and their optical properties compared with those of Si unit-bridged poly(diphenylamine)s. The absorption lmax of the polymers was influenced by the bridging structure of the diphenylamine unit. PAzeps were useful as fluorescence additives for resins. PAzeps with an alkylamino group on the side chain can connect with resin through a diisocyanate.
