Various aspects of the regularities of polyaniline synthesis are reviewed. The modern perspectives concerning the mechanism of aniline’s oxidative polycondensation are discussed. The reactions leading to chain initiation, propagation, branching and termination, to structural nonuniformities, sewing and deterioration of effective conjugation of macromolecules are considered.
