ABSTRACT

The study deals with the connection between interplanetary magnetic field sector boundaries and the light-trap catch of the moth species. The data of light-trap catch were taken from the registers of Hungarian Forestry Light-Trap Network. The data of sector boundaries were downloaded from the list of Wilcox Solar Observatory. Catching data from three moth species were processed in the context of interplanetary magnetic field sectors and sector boundaries. The catching results of the three moth species were only partially the same. The reasons for the discrepancies need further investigations. Our study is unprecedented in the literature.
