ABSTRACT

Ion trap mass spectrometry for elemental analysis has been developed. A concentration effect and a collision-induced dissociation technique in the ion trap mass spectrometer enabled the highly sensitive and effective measurement. Connecting the ion trap mass spectrometer with the various ionization sources that are an electrospray, a microwave-induced plasma and an inductively coupled plasma could show elemental analytical application.
