Cyclometallated compounds of palladium(ll) and manganese(l) with one or two nitrogen - donor ligands are described. The ligands reported are Schiff bases, phenylimidazoles, bis(N-benzylidene)-1,4phenylenediamines, N,//-terephthalylidenebis(cyclohexylamine) and N,//-isophthalylidenebis(cyclohexylamine). An account of their synthesis, reactivity and structural features is given.
