ABSTRACT Highly dispersed Pd-nanoparticles (NPs) were obtained on Co0.5Ni0.5MoO4-doped graphene nano-sheets (GNS) using the microwave-assisted polyol reduction method and their performance in methanol oxidation (MOR) and oxygen reduction (ORR) reactions were examined. The study of structural and electrocatalytic surface characterization of materials was performed using techniques, namely X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), cyclic (CV) and linear sweep (LSV) voltammetries and chronoamperometry. It is observed that both MOR and ORR activities of Pd NPs greatly enhanced on 10wt% Co0.5Ni0.5MoO4-GNS compared to those on 10wt% Co0.5Ni0.5MoO4 or GNS.
