ABSTRACT
 
In this article low-temperature WGSR catalyzed by copper catalysts will be reviewed. A general description of the catalyst concerning composition, structure, preparative methods and poisons is given. Kinetics expressions for this reaction are presented and catalyst deactivation by sintering is analyzed. In the last section of this article, diffusional effects considering catalyst decay and simulation and optimization of the industrial reactor are discussed.
