ABSTRACT

Hyervalent iodine compounds have attracted much attention as useful synthesis reagents. This review deals with our recent studies on the development of novel reactions and their application to biologically active natural products utilizing the hypervalent iodine reagents, phenyliodine(III) diacetate (PIDA) and phenyliodine(III) bis(trifluroacetate) (PIFA).
