ABSTRACT

Recent advances in multidetector computed tomography and three-dimensional volume rendering represent a benchmark in non-invasive body imaging.

Progress in these areas has resulted in the unprecedented ability for fast acquisition of high quality data sets and the potential for three-dimensional interpretation in a practical, real time and powerful way. We shall show how these advances are being applied to enhance the conventional roles of CT and to change our approach to diagnosis and therapy of disease.
