ABSTRACT

Fourier transform (FT) Raman spectroscopy has emerged as an effective technique for the study of polymer mixtures such as blends, composites and copolymers. Studies of polymeric systems involving polyketones, polyamides, polyimides, polysulphones and halogenated polymers are discussed in the review. FT Raman spectroscopy has been used to investigate the crystallinity and compatibility of blends, for the identification of polymers contained in glass-reinforced composites and for the quantitative analysis of copolymer composition.
