ABSTRACT

Since the occur of radiochemical analysis in 1890’s many analytical method have been developed and widely applied in the environmental radioactivity and radioecology studies. However, some new methods are still developed in recent years with the application of some new techniques, such as ICP-MS, AMS, NAA, low-level liquid scintillation counter and growing requirement in the decommission of nuclear facilities. In this paper, the radiochemical analytical methods recently developed and improved in our laboratory for the determination of various radionuclides, such as 55Fe, 63Ni, 90Sr, 99Tc, 129I, 226Ra, 228Ra, 222Rn, 228,230,232Th, 234,235,238U, 237Np, 238,239,240,241Pu, and 241Am are summarized. The present  progress in the radioanalytical  chemistry is also highlighted.
