ABSTRACT

We describe current research on utilization of biomass based on biorefineries, and discuss our studies on creation and circulation of novel valuable materials from biomass waste. Bacteria were used to convert soybean waste into bioactive peptides, and these peptides increased soil bacterial number and thereby increased biomass circulation. Moreover, novel bioactive peptide(s) were also created by bioconversion from soybean waste. Utilization of the peptide(s) from biomass waste in agriculture will contribute to safe food production, and to preservation of agricultural areas.
