ABSTRACT An in vitro interaction study with various disc antibiotics was evaluated for established active (antibacterial) iminium and triazinium salts. The interactions were studied with nine different disc antibiotics of diverse pharmacological class using the overlay-innoculum susceptibility disc method. While the interactions involving Penicillin G and most of the iminium and triazinium salts were synergistic, the antibacterial effect of most of the fluoroquinolones was antagonized by most of the synthesized salts.
