ABSTRACT

The mycoflora developing on dead adult specimens of 20 species of odonate, collected near running and stagnant of the water bodies, was investigated under laboratory conditions. Ninety-five aquatic fungus species were found to grow on the fragments of the odonates investigated (82 species on Zygoptera and 77 on Anisoptera), including 20 Chytridiomycetes, 74 Oomycetes and 1 Zygomycetes. Eighteen aquatic fungus species were found to grow only on Zygoptera, whereas 13 were found only on Anisoptera. Of these 95 species, 25 are known as parasites or necrotrophs of fish. Eleven fungus species were recorded for the first time from Poland. Of these 11 species, 6 were found on Zygoptera, 5 on Anisoptera and only 3 on both suborder.
