ABSTRACT

Castrobean  (Ricinus communics L.) is a plant used not only in industrial applications, but also in the pharmaceutical area. Recent information has shown a great potential for pharmaceutical uses of castrobean. Agricultural research is changing  to accommodate consumer preferences, while new discoveries of phytochemicals for pharmaceuticals applications continue to dominate natural product development. The objective of this study was to identify new potential pharmaceuticals uses of various phytochemicals from castrorbean. Pharmaceuticals of castrobean have the potential to alleviate  certain health problems in many areas of the world.
