ABSTRACT

For the effort to make a new kind of metallocene catalyst, the development of dinuclear metallocenes was initiated because the dinuclear compound could be expected to put in extra diversity on catalysis due to the presence of bridging ligand as an additional variable to adjust metallocene character along with Cp’, central metal and anion. For the plenty studies on the nature of bridging ligand, it has been definitely represented by the remarkable influence observed on activity of the catalyst, molecular weight and stereochemistry of polymer according to the change of the structure of dinuclear metallocene. In spite of the some progresses, the development of dinuclear metallocene catalysts should be extended to the certain one such as dinuclear ansametallocene for the stereoregular polymerization.
