ABSTRACT

Gene nomenclature for protein-coding loci in fish was published more than a decade ago, and many changes have since then been made. The nomenclature in the present revision is also extended to include a more comprehensive list of enzymes commonly analysed in plant and animal genetics, with special emphasis on orthologous designations to standardise the genetic nomenclature.
